Hey! I thought I’d give you guys a little insider to what makeup I’m using a LOT of at the moment. It’s not because they are new purchases or anything, I just keep going back to these particular products! First of all, majority are high end so if your not wanting to spend a lot of money then this could get a little pricey – but these are so so worth it!! There will definitely be alternatives somewhere out there if you didn’t want to have as many high end products (or spend a fortune) but I really do highly recommend these.

Keep reading below to find out a little bit more about each product in the photo!

ps.. this is quite a long one!

This eyeshadow palette has the most gorgeous neutral tones to it, just look at all those warm brown colours! Lush! The colours in this palette are so versatile, there is a colour for a transition shade, a blending shade.. anything! Not to mention how PIGMENTED these shadows are, one swipe and you are good to go! They blend so effortlessly which is always a bonus when it comes to eye shadows. No one wants an achey hand after blending! The lighter shades are also great for contouring believe it or not! They blend so nicely and they hollow out your cheek bones pretty well. The 8 glitter shadow shades are beautiful, and even better when applied to your eye lid with your finger or a wet brush – the pigment really comes out by doing this! The combination of matte and glitter shadows I think is a good, I feel there could be a few more glitter shades as there are 25 shadows in total. One down side I find to any Morphe pallete is that there are no shade names, it’s not a huge deal, but it’s nice to know what is going on your lid and it’s a little easier when you come to talk about your eye look.

The price for this palette is US $17.99 which works out around £14 making each shadow less than 80p! The palette is from the Morphe website which is an American site, meaning people ordering from outside the US will get charged customs and taxes etc but it’s totally worth it!

This powder is my to go loose powder, it is honestly flawless. The packaging is a plastic bottle, no bigger than the size of my hand which makes it great for travelling. It has a plastic lid which opens up to show 5 holes where the powder can be shaken out – instead I usually like to take the lid off and tap some into the lid which makes it easier for application. The packaging is very simple, but looks good.

I dont have any faults in this powder what’s so ever and you can use it for so many things!  I usually use mine to bake underneath my eyes to set my concealer and also to clean up my contour and bake my nose. I use a damp beauty blender to set underneath my eyes or a fluffy powder brush to set the rest of my face and my skin looks ever so smooth! You don’t have to leave it on long to bake either, I usually bake whilst I fill in my eye brows and use the rest to dust over the rest of my face and it’s perfect! I haven’t found that it creases either, in particular the eye area, nor does it leave a flash back (who wants to look like Casper the ghost in photos!). It also makes a great all over face powder too but can become a little messy if your clumsy like me! The best thing is, it keeps you matte all day.

For people with sensitive skin and worried about trying a new product, RCMA have said –

“With no pigment or fillers, the RCMA No Color Powder ingredients are limited to just four. The RCMA No Color Powder is formulated with silica, calcium oxide, talc, and magnesium oxide.”

You get 3oz of powder which I feel is a good amount to have and I still have around 1/4 left and I bought this October time last year! The price point is around $12 US dollars working out to be roughly £9.30 which is excellent value for money – bonus it lasts so long too! The link below also offers to buy them separately, in an a 2 or a 3 pack also.

(The great thing about this website is that taxes and customs you would get shipping to the U.K. are included at check out so you don’t have to worry about that last minute card put through the door by Royal Mail!)

When I first started using this foundation I couldn’t get on with it much so it sat in my makeup drawers getting dusty. I used to use it with a beauty blender and a primer I was trying from collection which now showed me what the issue was. The other month I thought I’d give it a second chance before I sold it and I’m so glad I did! Because now it’s one of my favourite foundations along with my Estée Lauder double wear.

The formula is really creamy and pigmented meaning you can definitely get a full coverage look if you were to layer up the foundation. It blends easily and i tend to use a buffing brush to blend it around my face and then a beauty blender to finish. I don’t find this product becomes cakey either which is always a bonus despite how thick it is. There seems to be a good range of colours (I matched myself up online and was pretty much spot on when it came) so it’ll suit many skin tones. I do find however it tends to crease slightly under the eyes if you haven’t applied much powder so I tend to bake under my eyes with my RCMA no colour powder as mentioned above.

So, price wise this product is £29 in Debenhams which I feel is a reasonable price for a high-end foundation. As some of us would, pay this for MAC or Estee Lauder etc. Because it is a stick formula, I feel like you don’t actually see the product go down too quickly as you only need a few swipes on your face and your good to go!

Overall, I am pleased I’ve started to use this again! Which do you prefer – Stick foundation or liquid foundation? Let me know!

You can purchase this here or get it from Debenhams online.

This is an interesting primer, as I have quite oily skin I was skeptical about buying this due to the mixed reviews i have read online. Some say it works wonders for oily skin, others say it makes it worse so i thought i’d put it to the test. The packaging is gorgeous, it is made from a glass bottle which feels heavy and good quality, along with a gold lid and gold writing. Inside the primer also you may be able to see specks of gold!

YSL say – “The magic light of Touche Eclat in a transparent gel, allows light to diffuse through optimally.
A perfect complexion instantly illuminated, visible pores appear reduced, skin texture looks smoothed and skin luminosity is boosted”.

When I first tested the primer on the back of my hand it feels like gel and stays like gel, its firm. It does feel greasy in between the fingers but blended out on the back of my hand seemed to fill in any fine lines. I applied it under my foundation and I put it mainly in my T-Zone where I become most oiliest throughout the day. This primer does not get ‘tacky’ like other primers do, it sinks into your face to create a smooth base which I find great! There was the worry of foundation sliding around everywhere on my face, however this didn’t seem to happen. I do feel though that it works better with liquid foundation as apposed to stick foundation as it tended to become slightly cakey with a stick foundation which obviously isn’t what we want!

For £29.50 I do feel this is a little on the pricey side (I know it is YSL) but for what it is, for my oily skin I feel that this is certainly worth it and it does last a very long time. A little goes a long way!

If you know any dupes for this primer please let me know!

You can purchase this here and online on most beauty websites or instore at places like Debenhams or House of Fraser.

Champagne Pop by Becca has to be one of my favourite single pan highlighters. Just WOW. The pigment is stunning and you can see this with just one swatch! It has a pink shimmer to it with a gold undertone. To be honest, all off Becca’s highlighters are stunning but this one is my most favourite. The packaging too is so lovely and there is a mirror on the inside lid, bonus! This highlighter is also sold as a liquid or a creme which means depending on your preference, there is one of each.

This shade could be suitable for all skin tones as its has just the right shade of pink and gold undertones. On a wet shader brush, it creates a beautiful eye shadow too and looks great for a halo eye look.

It is roughly £30 and can be purchased from the official Becca site or from Beautylish which will include all taxes and shipping into its final price as mentioned in the RCMA review.

Even though I said Becca Champagne Pop was my favourite single pan highlighter, this palette will reach all levels of GLOW! This Glow kit is an Anastasia Beverly Hills collab with the amazing youtuber, Nicole Guerriero. When this palette first got released it was a big hit and went out of stock very quickly. Many of us was waiting for the restock and when it finally happened I got my hands on this beauty! When I received my first order, unfortunately the majority of the shades were broken in the pan (sad times!) and so I emailed Anastasia and I soon got a reply that a replacement had been sent out to me and I was able to keep the broken palette. I can honestly say, not only does Anastasia Beverly Hills create the most gorgeous makeup, but the customer services is not one to be complained about, its fantastic.

My favourite shades have to be ‘Forever Lit’ and ‘Kitty Kat’ mixed together, especially with a wet highlighting brush. The pair are the most blinding highlights I have ever put on my face so if you are wanting a subtle glow, this definitely isn’t for you… Each shade is a different colour which makes this easily adaptable for any skin tones for instance using ‘Forever Lit’ on lighter skin and ‘Glo Getter’ on slightly darker skin. All shades are highly pigmented and super blend-able, along with the stunning packaging of a baby pink and glittery cover! Everything in this palette is to die for and I would recommend this to anyone wanting a new Glow Kit.

The price stands at £39 which is definitely a bargain as you are getting 6 highlighting pans as apposed to 4 in a standard ABH Glow Kit, for the same price! That means each pan is £6.50, which you may pay for a drugstore highlighter.

Final product I’ve listed is the Mario Badescu facial spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This product smells divine, like you’ve smelt a bouquet of fresh cut roses. I tend to use this spray as a hydrating mist during makeup or even just generally when my skin is feeling a little tired. After putting on foundation, concealer and powder I find my skin starts to get a little dry so I spray some of this directly onto my skin, just to dampen the skin a little so it doesn’t become so dry when applying more makeup. This spray works very well as a hydrating primer too. It’s also a refreshing facial mist, so even when I don’t have any makeup on, I spray my face in the morning and it makes me feel awake and refreshed and also before bed. Not to mention it leaves your skin incredibly smooth and smelling of roses! I guess you could use it as a setting spray too?

It comes in 2 different sizes – 4oz and 8oz. I have the bigger bottle, which prices at £11 on the BeautyBay website, and the smaller 4oz bottle at £7.50. This spray lasts a long time and stays refreshed too. You could also put it in the fridge during the warm summer months and use it as a cooling mist too – I will definitely be trying this! The smaller bottle would be an ideal size to carry around in your handbag to give your face a little refreshment during the day when skin becomes dry. Really, the smell wins me over! But the actual product itself is great for so many different things.

You can purchase this here or online at beautybay.com
